Welcome to one of our favourite destinations in the world. Nestled in a high altitude desert realm, between the Himalayas and the Tibetan plateau at the far north of the Indian subcontinent, Ladakh and its people will stay in your heart and mind forever. It is an extraordinary land, full of stark dramatic landscapes, with many cultural links to Tibet and steeped in Buddhist traditions. The most commonly applied names for Ladakh are 'Little Tibet' and 'the last Shangri La' and once you've seen the amazing landscapes and culture of Ladakh it is hard to disagree.
